Governance

workflow of CHIEF project

WP1 – PREPARE: Analysis of the SOCs landscape in the EU

The specific objectives of WP1 are to map the current cybersecurity ecosystem by documenting the key actors involved in cyber detection capabilities at the EU level – detailing their operational frameworks, governance structures, and data-sharing practices – identify gaps and barriers within the ecosystem, with particular focus on obstacles to effective information exchange across borders and between public and industry actors.

Lead partner: Austria Bundesministerium für Inneres (BMI)

WP2 – SET-UP: Cyber Hubs Cross-Border Architecture and Cooperation

This WP will define a comprehensive technical framework for collaboration among National Cyber Hubs and CrossBorder Cyber Hubs. Building on this model, the project will design an interoperable architecture that supports the established governance framework and ensure that the chosen architecture fosters information exchange. The chosen model should be compatible with global standards and aligned with best practices.

Lead partner: Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity

WP3 - ROLL-OUT - Cyber-Hubs inner community: Cyber Hubs Blueprint and Requirements

Building on the architectural and governance model defined in WP2, WP3 will contribute to facilitate a swifter and more efficient exchange of information across borders. To do so, it will define a common list of requirements and capabilities for Cyber Hubs, set out data exchange modalities and related incentives and develop a Blueprint for HPC an AI integration in Cyber Hubs.

Lead partner: Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale (ACN)

WP4 - ROLL-OUT - Cyber-Hubs wider community: Supporting Requirements and Toolkits

To ensure the successful development and deployment of the Cross-Border Cyber Hubs, this WP will provide the tools for National Cyber Hubs for integrating their wider SOCs ecosystem into the future Cybersecurity Alert System, test cooperation among National Cyber Hubs and verify the actionability of requirements for National Cyber Hubs through a pilot assessment.

Lead partner: Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity

WP5 - OUTREACH: Dissemination and Stakeholder Engagement

This work package will design, oversee, and execute a comprehensive communication and dissemination strategy to enhance the project's visibility and foster community growth. By leveraging diverse tools and activities, it aims to effectively inform and engage stakeholders, ensuring meaningful and lasting impact while supporting the project's successful exploitation.

Lead partner: The Lisbon Council

WP6 - MANAGE: Project Management

WP6 will provide internal project and administrative management, overall coordination of activities, and continuous monitoring and evaluation of project’s key performance indicators as well as of compliance with ethical principles and relevant legislation. These activities will include, but not be limited to, the establishment of a unified action plan across all WPs and set-up of processes necessary to achieve an efficient project and the organisation of regular project meetings, including a kick-off event and regular consortium meetings.
